Day 3: (BLD) Sydney & The Vivid Lights - Friday 24 May 2024

Our morning adventure begins with an exploration of some of Sydney’s iconic local sights, commencing at the historic Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. Meticulously carved out of sandstone by convicts, the chair was a gift for Governor Lachlan Macquarie’s wife, offering her a vantage point to observe the bustling activity on the harbour. It now has perfect views of the Sydney Opera House, the majestic Harbour Bridge and the storied Fort Denison. Now, we pass by the exclusive suburbs of Double Bay and Rose Bay as we head to splendid Vaucluse House. Steeped in history, this 19th century estate became Australia’s very first house museum in 1915. Returning to the city, we indulge in lunch before embarking on a captivating tour of the Australia National Maritime Museum.  Australians have an indelible connection to the sea, woven through aspects of commerce, defence, exploration, immigration, adventure, sport, and recreation. The museum brilliantly captures these intricate threads of our maritime history with an array of fascinating artefacts, engaging exhibitions, interactive displays and the unique opportunity to board historic ships, providing an immersive experience of life on the water.

With time to refresh at our hotel, we head for the harbour to join our Vivid Lights Cruise. As the sun falls below the horizon, we are transported to a mesmerising world of light installations and projections all brought to life by the wonderful Vivid Lights Festival. We enjoy the views of Sydney’s transformation and a delicious dinner before our cruise returns to port.

Day 4: (BD) More Of Sydney - Saturday 25 May 2024

Our morning begins with a visit to the Sydney Opera House, where we embark on a guided tour.  We will explore its magnificent theatres, uncovering the fascinating stories and history behind this renowned landmark. We also gain an insight into the visionary architect Jorn Utzon’s journey in bringing this UNESCO heritage-listed masterpiece to life.  Take the remainder of the day to discover more of Sydney as you desire.

This evening’s special treat sees us ascending to the 82nd floor of the iconic Sydney Tower. Here the tower restaurant, known as Skyfeast, awaits us with its breathtaking 360 degree revolving views of the sparkling harbour and the city below. This exceptional dining experience offers an unrivalled perspective to appreciate the dazzling brilliance of the Sydney Vivid Lights Festival as we dine amidst the city’s radiant skyline.

Day 5: (BLD) Sydney To Coffs Harbur - Sunday 26 May 2024

We bid farewell to the city of Sydney this morning, our journey carrying us towards the coastal beauty of Coffs Harbour. Along the way we reach the charming town of Nabiac, where we pause for a delightful lunch at the Artisan Farmer, a culinary haven offering a true paddock to plate encounter. Every dish is crafted from locally sourced ingredients celebrating the rich flavours of the region.

Nabiac also beckons us with the National Motorcycle Museum of Australia, a purpose-built haven for motorcycle enthusiasts. An astonishing collection of over 800 motorcycles stands alongside an extensive array motorcycle memorabilia, a well-stocked private library and a gift shop tailored to motorcycle aficionados. Among the treasured gems on display is a rare Kenilworth scooter from 1919, a twin cylinder water-cooled 2 stroke Scott, and the legendary Vincent Black Knight. There is also an excellent range of vintage bikes spanning the early 1900s to more contemporary marvels.
